I’m proud to carry out the role of CEO of Mercury where I have worked for over 20 years and have the privilege of working alongside great teams of people.

I was born and raised in County Cork, Ireland, where my interest and principles in business and people were shaped working in our family business in the agricultural sector. I initially studied mechanical engineering at Cork Institute of Technology and have continued my studies at various universities globally ever since. I feel that continuous development is vital in an ever-evolving business environment.

I realised early in my career that technical engineering wasn’t for me but by that stage my passion for the construction industry was embedded and I was interested in learning everything there was to learn.

During my early years with Mercury I travelled extensively, spending large parts of my career in Poland and the Middle East. The years I spent working abroad provided the biggest learning period of my professional life, not only providing me with a better understanding of international business but more importantly, shaping me in becoming more balanced in my decision making and adapting a more realistic understanding of the diversity of people and cultures.

I am passionate about the value of people within Mercury and believe in the importance of investing in personal development to allow everyone to reach their potential. I’m committed to ensuring Mercury always remains true to its culture of being a safe, respectful, inclusive and diverse workplace where we embrace change and listen to one another.

I’ll be using this platform to discuss and share some of my personal and professional interests and while it might be difficult for me or my team to always respond, I welcome your engagement and am always glad to have new interactions.
