Getting out of my comfort zone and daring to try something new with a day-one spirit โ€“ that's the motto of my career. Over the past 30 years, Iโ€™ve repeatedly taken on new tasks in the ICT industry. And I'll be honest: It wasn't always easy! It often took a lot of (persuasion) work to get people on board and change things. Looking back, however, Iโ€™m grateful for these hurdles that I had to overcome together with my teams. They showed me whatโ€™s possible when you get to work with courage, conviction and passion. This includes, in particular, the successful transformation of Telekom Sales & Service. By joining forces, weโ€™ve completely transformed the quality and image of the business unit. Today, it is an important differentiator for Deutsche Telekom.

In January 2024, as CEO of T-Systems, it was time for me to get out of my comfort zone again. With a team of 27,000 IT experts, we pave the way into the digital future for corporate clients in Germany and 20 other countries โ€“ with artificial intelligence, cloud, SAP, security, automation and many other digital solutions. As ONE team, we want to inspire our customers and turn them into fans โ€“ not only with our state-of-the-art technologies, but also with consulting expertise, commitment, top quality and maximum reliability.

As a computer scientist, Iโ€™m convinced of the huge potential of digital technologies: they will take our economy, but also our society as a whole, to the next level. Actively shaping this change as CEO of T-Systems is a very exciting, but also responsible task. We must succeed in taking people with us on this journey, which is currently gaining enormous momentum. We need to build trust through the greatest possible transparency, inclusion and adherence to ethical guidelines. We must enable them to deal confidently with future technologies such as AI and to approach them with openness.

For the digital revolution to be successful, a smart interaction between the superpower of AI and the superpower of humans is needed. If we manage to use the best of both worlds for ourselves, I'm not afraid of the future. On the contrary, Iโ€™m looking forward to many new opportunities, be it in the field of production, mobility, health or public administration.

Let's talk about these topics here! I look forward to your questions, opinions and suggestions. ๐Ÿ˜Š
